Time to breath?

So...I was looking at my schedule for the next couple of months and it makes me sad. First it makes me sad that I HAVE a schedule that goes into the next couple of months and sad that I'm busy.

I am currently in Sondheim's PASSION at ESP. When that closes in August, I start ASMing Six Degrees of Separation. When that closes I ASM Frog Princess for ESP Theater for Young Audiences, then I jump into It's a Wonderful Life....that brings me to December. Then the musical for CCT2FT that I'll probably end up auditioning for...oy with the poodles!

In the mean time I got invited to the CCT2FT board and I'm working on creating lists and contacts for publicity. I have to start working on a publicity plan for Six Degrees and I have things I'd like to have the board start thinking about...so proposals and fully thinking out the ideas before the board meeting. Little to do, so much time....strike that....reverse it. When DO I get to breath?

Last night I came out to my Dad.  It went really well.

He was bugging me about the girl thing.  "Any prospects?  What about Colleen?"

"No Dad, and Colleen's not my type.  I mean....Dad I'm gay"

he took a second "I questioned it a couple of times....so any prospects?  What's the gouge?"
"Same answer, different gender"

We laughed about it and we both agreed...my mother won't take this as well. lol

Where has all my time gone?

I would like to start this post off saying no one told me to update, I'm doing it all on my own.  However, I did think about this after wondering why the CCT2FT blog hadn't been posted with something awesome and amazing about me.  I'm such a diva sometim....all the time.

So the show opens this weekend and I'm already moving into the next show I'm in.  I just got put into Passion @ Elden Street.  When I say put I mean it, not auditioned for, put.  I came "highly recommended" and Gloria DuGan just cast me without seeing me or hearing my voice.  No pressure right?!  So much for my "taking the summer off".

The good thing is that I'll have worked at Elden Street doing one of their main stages.  They'll know me so when I DO audition for Rent with them next year, if I manage to make it so it's me or someone else for a role (Mark or Collins are the ones I'm going to be shooting for) knowing me will swing the vote.  I'm a genius!

In other news, I STILL have not heard back from Booz....this begins week 5...

Prooving Brittany Wrong

This post was going to serve the purpose of making Brittany look silly cause I have posted again and she said I wouldn't...

but I am taking more time to complain cause to post this little thing took me 20 minutes cause my CUBICLE computer froze up for about 10 minutes...

that was a saying I used to use in high school....not very attractive if you think about it. Why is there crap on a stick and how in the hell IS is holy?  Way to go Michael...your nonsense speak is confusing to all!

So we finally got our new computers in for our lab at work.  YAY.  They are fast and (brace yourself...here comes the rant) they have 70GB harddrives....

We ordered QUAD Processor Servers with 4GB of RAM and 70GB harddrives.  The client computers we ordered have 160GB harddrives.  Of all the things to skimp on for a server, storage is not the one.  Windows Server 2008 takes up like 10~15GB, SQL Server takes up another 5ish.  We use our servers to BACKUP EVERYTHING! The programs I test, the drivers I need, old patches, ghost images.  Why am I surrounded by morons...

In other news...you all don't know (well you do cause I talk to the 2 people who are reading this, but I'll explain if somehow someone I don't know is reading this) I interviewed for a position at Booz Allen Hamilton.  Last month...A week after the interview they asked for my desired salary range.  I gave it to him...

Side comment:

This douchebag recruiter calls me at 7:45 (I wake up at 9 to get to work at 9:30) to ask me this crap, because he wants to be prepared for his 8am meeting with the people I interviewed with...fucktard...

So it's been 3 weeks since I talked to this guy and I haven't heard either way.  I did e-mail him a week later and asked "what was up" and he replied with "I'll let you know as soon as I hear".

Now it gets even better.  My brother is on the team I interviewed for, HR is dropping the ball and I'm so angry I don't even want to take the job anymore (ie I'm just angry and I'll clearly take the job if I'm getting paid a significant salary increase, but I'm really pissed off)  How unprofessional is it to not get back to someone in a timely manner.  I know the standard is "give'em 2 weeks" hello....he's had a little more than that....by a lot.  OY.

I'm ending my post now so that Erin can read it.  I'll update more often....cause she wants me to.

When 1 isn't enough

Can I just say how dumb it is that I have 1....1 computer that was bought within the past 2 years. The computers I'm using for work are are old Dell's....OLD Dell's. They don't meet the system requirement for the software I'm testing. Let me repeat that, as it deserves to be repeated. The computers....I'm using....don't meet...THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS! PWINGPWNG3G2PGINSR;

It's like saying go hunt for food. Here are some bullets and a bow. GWAH? Those aren't compatible. DUH! ::sigh::

We're supposed to get new computers. The order was put in in November, but I'm not holding my breath.
